Like, do you rent a movie for $15 or do you wait 6 months till it hits HBO? Well, depends, how much do YOU want to see the movie.and how much value do you put on your OWN happiness? Me, my happiness is priceless, it's why I have all the Sims 4 DLC. Or.just wait a few weeks/months/years till it drops. Just like, if you want new ANYTHING, you have to pay full MRSP. and the OLDER DLC, I have picked up for $3-$7. if, you just want to play Sims 4.buy Sims 4. Infact, they come out with a new DLC every 3 months, and preorder sales alone is more than you make in 5 years. So, you want game.but you no want to pay for game? You think, because game old, game should be cheaper.but, you still want to play, so, obviously, it still has value. Sims 3 (2009) Is currently only offering a 10% discount. The Deluxe Edition is also included in EA membership subscriptions. Is EA not saving enough money by rereleasing Madden 19 under the name Madden 20? Or changing absolutely nothing about the career mode in UFC 4? I want to support these games but it's so difficult when they're hidden behind these ridiculous paywalls. On very rare occasions, EA will even make The Sims 4 base game completely free to download. I really want to support this game because I like it but only have a 25% discount on a 6 year old game is rather insulting. Of course certain DLCs were excluded while other DLC's were included, making it a checkerboard of an incomplete game.
I figured it would be pretty slick to just buy EA Play instead because it's a yearlong subscription at $30 which means if I kept playing the Sims 4 for 14 years then it would be equal to $430 but nope. At first I thought it would be great because the Sims 4 (2014) is currently on sale for 25% on Steam but I saw that if I were to purchase all the DLC at a 25% discount it would still cost the low low price of $430.
